AMRO is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Our
organization’s funds are earned through fundraisers and
adoption fees. AMRO will take in an owner relinquish dog if we
have the space and resources available to do so and if the
relinquished animal meets the requirements that have been set
forth by our organization to deem the dog as being able to be
placed
through our rescue program.
Due to the nature of our donation based funding, AMRO does
require a monetary donation at the time the relinquished dog
is turned over to our rescue program. This monetary donation
will be discussed with you and an AMRO representative. The
monetary donation is used to cover the costs related to the
care of the relinquished dog (i.e., medical needs, food,
etc.).
If you have an Alaskan Malamute that you can no longer
keep due to certain circumstances or if you have found a
stray, please complete the Information Review Form and submit
it to us. Please send a photograph of the animal to the
following address:
AMRO, Inc. P.O. Box 982 Westerville, OH 43086
Following the receipt of this completed form, an AMRO
representative will then review the information and get back
to you within seven (7) days.
Please note that if AMRO is full, your name will be placed
on a waiting list for the animal to be taken into rescue
should your animal be deemed acceptable for rescue placement

For liability reasons, AMRO is unable to consider any dog
that has bitten for placement through or with our rescue
program. If you have any questions regarding this issue or
extenuating circumstances, please
contact AMRO directly
or explain the problem on the comment section of the
Information Review Form. This information will then be
reviewed by AMRO and a determination made as to whether or not
we can take the dog.
Due to the number of purebred Malamutes needing help and
taken in by AMRO, we are not always able to accept a Malamute
Mix into our rescue program. |
